Rob Coad who won Lead Instructor of the Year at the 2010 ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP ASIA-PACIFIC REGIONAL CONFERENCE, he also recently received runner-up in the Fitness Australia Exercise Professional of the Year for 2010.
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
Rob was in the Army living an active life. It wasn’t until he suffered a neck injury in an armoured vehicle accident. He was discharged from the Army and had to undergo rehabilitation. During this time Rob stopped playing sport, stopped socialising and began over eating. He took comfort in food, started to gain weight and became quite depressed.
Rob decided to turn his life around after weighing himself on some scales at a recycling yard. The scales read 108kgs. He began dieting and exercising everyday and within four months he had dropped to 78 kilograms. “I changed alcohol to water and McDonalds to chicken stir fry,” he said and he did it with no professional assistance. With the weight loss he regained his confidence and more importantly his health.
Rob believes that anyone can improve their value of life. He uses his Military experience, his personal struggle and his qualifications to help others live an active and healthy lifestyle.
His training methods will always keep you guessing, variety is an area which this high in demand trainer has. He has trained many types of people, including celebrities on TV shows, professional athletes, models and groups for large Corporations. Professionalism, confidentiality and creative training methods are always
a priority.
TESTIMONAL
During early December 2007, I first met Rob Coad in Sydney, who was to be my physical training coach in preparation for the TV show ‘The Gladiators’. Training consisted of less than 3 weeks during which time I was to be in condition for filming.
During this time Rob trained a group of 16 people including myself. Most of us had slightly different goals, but I found his training methods were accommodating to each individual person during the group sessions.
The training was intense, fun, different and related to the games we were involved with. I found that he implemented team work, discipline and loads of encouragement to the entire group. Rob also trained me one on one, which I also found beneficial and rewarding. He is very professional, approachable, friendly and motivating person with an obvious passion for what he does.
Kind Regards,
