In early 2010 I signed up for month of Bootcamp Balmain alongside a 4 week detox programme to be in better health & shape just before an overseas holiday. Prior to commencing, I never expected to continue with this form of exercise, however a year later I am still attending each session and enjoying it more than ever before! There is something to be said for Bootcamp Balmain, especially due to the fact that I continued the outdoor exercise even throughout the cold winter months! We enjoy it so much, that when our pre-Christmas programme recently finished in the lead up to a few weeks off, we persuaded our Sarge into extending it!
I specifically enjoy the mix of team and individual based sessions offered. One session is never the same, and includes a great mix of cardio and strength work, as well as training on and off site involving all types of equipment and terrain. I truly benefit from the support and challenges provided by our instructors and commend them on the way they can provide personal training and encouragement regardless of the number of recruits in our group.
Since joining, I’ve noticed a radical change in my fitness and have more defined muscle tone. I can now enjoy participating in running events all around Sydney, not to mention that I no longer lack energy! Without the help of Bootcamp Balmain, I would still be sleeping more than required, and admiring the people who around me who had the willpower to get fit. While others are sweating away in stinking dull gyms and ogling the TV screens or each other, we are sweating, smiling and achieving great results together, whilst still enjoying the fresh air and the bay views!
If anyone is searching for a challenging, rewarding and affordable way to exercise around the beautiful surrounding Iron Cove Bay, I would definitely encourage you pick Bootcamp Balmain.

Bootcamp is a routine I just can't get out of. In the past, I've done lots of running but always end up with skeletal problems. Swimming takes up too much time. And neither come close to the levels of complete fitness that OBC offers. I've found that having done it for the better part of 2 years that the fitness level I've achieved seems quite sustainable. But I still find improvements. Perversely perhaps, I look forward to the early mornings, even in winter.

Since attending Bootcamp I’ve really noticed an improvement in my general fitness and muscle tone. I definitely train harder than I would on my own, and it’s more fun in a group too. Getting up early can be a struggle but I feel great afterwards and I’m in a much happier mood when I arrive at work knowing I’ve already exercised. Each session is always different and keeps me motivated to keep training.

The Balmain Bootcamp is excellent. It helps me maintain a good level of fitness fit and the sessions are always interesting so you never get bored. Unlike other training groups, you don’t do the same thing over and over. The instructors are great and they always challenge you with a good mix of strength, resistance and cardio workouts….early morning training by the water is also a bonus which I love!

I’ve tried quite a few boot camps in the area and I’m so glad I found Original Bootcamp!! Definitely the best, and at three times a week it has totally replaced the gym. Every session is different - they come up with all sorts of things – love it!! It’s also great that I can use their other locations if I have to travel interstate for work – no excuses!
